A 12-year-old boy crosses the North Sea in record time
A 12-year-old French boy set a new record for crossing the North Sea using a sailboat for one person on Wednesday (27 June).
Tom Gouron crossed the North Sea in less than 15 hours, Reuters reported.
Tom Gouron cut the distance from the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom to Cherbourg in northern France to 96.56 kilometers in 14 hours, that is, cutting 4.19 nautical miles or about 7.76 kilometers per hour.
Gueron began sailing at the age of eight and participated in many tournaments in France.
